WAP -World Association of Puppeteers and International Institute of Marionette Art - have a great pleasure to invite theatres and puppet film productions for World Festival of Puppet Art which take place in Prague from 27 May - 3 June 2007.

All kinds of Show are welcome: for children and adults, from traditional Puppetry, to the New, and innovation works.

For the first time on the Festival 2007 there will be the special program of puppet films.

World Festival of Puppet Art is competition and International Jury will award a prizes for: Best Animation, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Scenery and Puppet Design, Best original performance, Best artistic creation, Best performance, Best scenario, Best puppet film and some special awards.

During the Festival every participant will be provided with free accommodation, food, and daily pocket money.
You are kindly asked to choose one of your performances or puppet film and send Application form to the Festival until 31st December 2006.
Also you need to send:

  • filled application form
  • DVD / CD/ video tape
  • some photos of the show
  • a short story of the show
Festival Commission will select performances and films and inform you until 31st January 2007.

World Festival of Puppet Art welcomes Puppeteers from all over the World to meet and share their craft in Prague, Heart of Europe and celebrate the Art of Puppetry.
